About me

Hi, I’m David Stewart Lovegrove, a classically trained artist (Dip.Fine Art – Julian Ashton Art School, The Rocks, Sydney ) with a Master of Arts (Visual Arts) degree from Griffith University, Brisbane, with a writing background creating advertising copy for web/ print and scripts for graphic novel / manga style projects.
A keen reader since a young age, I am fascinated by a very wide range of subjects, including aviation, astronautics, anatomy, physiology and artistic anatomy, Art History, the Early Medieval period ( particularly the Viking Age ), the European Renaissance, and Japanese history and traditional culture.

I have built up a large following over many years in the Schools and Government Libraries literary circuit, as a guest speaker known for exciting and unusual artistic demonstrations of manga art and writing and double handed art skills.

I am considered a master practitioner of Chinese Kung Fu, I speak Japanese and Icelandic, and am both a Scottish Highland dancer and a Highland Games athlete.
